Emergency Notice About Gate.io’s CFX Withdraw Service!
We do NOT recommend withdrawing CFX to any wallet address with the old Conflux address format (0x1…) on Gate.io!
Gate.io’s CFX withdraw service is not working as expected! We have already contacted Gate.io on this matter and hope they can fix this problem as soon as possible!
We have replicated many community members’ complaints about withdrawing assets to addresses stored in their Gate.io Address Book. The problem occurs when withdrawing CFX to Conflux Network addresses stored on Gate.io’s address book with the old Conflux address format (0x1…), because Gate.io automatically transfers the CFX to BSC. On both mobile and desktop versions of Gate.io, the above-described problem remains. Also, Gate.io does not support Conflux Network’s new address standard yet.
Gate.io’s front-end and back-end logic not being aligned is causing this problem! Gate.io’s front-end does not support Conflux Network’s new address standard, and the back-end disregarded the front-end information by automatically sending CFX to any address starting with “0x…” to BSC.
